PRT Social Science Teacher Job in Cooch Behar, West Bengal | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
Epic Public School Kakribari needs a teacher who can manage a full class of Social Science students from Grade 6 to 8. Daily tasks include lesson planning, delivering interactive lessons, and assessing student progress. You will also coordinate with peers to integrate local history into the curriculum and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment.
What you will actually do
1. Prepare and deliver weekly Social Science lessons for grades 6–8.
2. Design classroom activities that connect state history with national events.
3. Use visual aids and local resources to explain concepts.
4. Grade assignments, projects, and tests promptly.
5. Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
6. Participate in faculty meetings and curriculum planning sessions.
7. Mentor students in project work and debates.
8. Collaborate with parents during parent‑teacher conferences.
Who can do this job
Graduate in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
Minimum three years of teaching experience in a school setting.
TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong knowledge of Social Science curriculum and local history.
Good communication skills and a patient, approachable attitude.
Ability to use simple technology for lesson delivery.
