Role
NTT Evs Teacher at Darjeeling Public School will deliver Environmental Studies (Evs) curriculum to primary students. The role requires engaging lessons, practical field activities, and assessment of student understanding. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to integrate Evs concepts across subjects.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute age‑appropriate Evs lessons aligned with the state syllabus.
Use local environmental resources in Darjeeling Pulbazar to create experiential learning.
Prepare and maintain records of student progress, attendance, and classroom activities.
Participate in school meetings, parent‑teacher interactions, and community outreach on environmental awareness.
Contribute to school initiatives such as eco‑clubs, clean‑up drives, and awareness campaigns.
Requirements
Graduate in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed. TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
Strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rural school environment.
Passion for environmental education and ability to inspire young learners.
Compensation
Salary range Rs.16,000 – Rs.30,000 per month. Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
