About This Role
As an experienced PRT Dance Teacher at Narayana School Siliguri, you will be leading the Dance Department in our Kurseong, Darjeeling campus, shaping the next generation of young dancers from the hills of West Bengal. Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan and deliver high-quality Dance curricula for students from grades I to X, aligning with the CBSE curriculum standards
- Develop engaging lesson plans, incorporating music, movement, and performance skills to foster creative expression
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to track student progress, providing constructive feedback to improve performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement Dance-related extracurricular activities and events, enhancing the overall cultural experience
- Serve as a faculty advisor, guiding students in their academic and personal growth, and fostering a positive school climate
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements, adhering to school policies and regulations
- Participate in staff meetings, contributing to discussions on curriculum development, school events, and staff welfare
- Engage in professional development opportunities, staying updated on best practices in Dance education and incorporating new ideas into the classroom
- Perform administrative tasks, such as grading, reporting, and communicating with parents, to ensure seamless school operations
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Dance or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Dance. A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree is mandatory for this position. While a TET or CTET certification is highly preferred, it is not a necessity. We are looking for talented educators who can bring their passion for Dance to our students and inspire them to reach their full potential.
