PRT Dance Teacher Position at St Roberts High School, Darjeeling

Daily Responsibilities

Monitor student progress individually and in groups, offering constructive feedback on technique and performance.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines, student ability levels, and seasonal themes. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate dance into school events, festivals, and extracurricular activities. Attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress in dance and address any concerns related to participation or improvement. Ensure compliance with school safety protocols during dance sessions, including proper warm-ups and cool-downs.
Periodic Responsibilities
Organize and lead school dance performances, competitions, or cultural programs, showcasing student talent and school spirit. Conduct periodic evaluations of student performance to assess growth and identify areas for further development. Participate in school-level dance workshops or training sessions to enhance teaching methods and keep curriculum fresh.
A graduate with a strong foundation in dance and at least three years of teaching experience is required. A degree in education (B.Ed or D.El.Ed) is mandatory, along with proficiency in dance forms relevant to the school’s curriculum. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial for career advancement. Salary for this full-time position ranges from Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
