PRT Evs Teacher Job in Darjeeling, West Bengal | School Recruitment
Role Summary
Narayana School Siliguri invites applications for an experienced PRT Evs Teacher to join our Kurseong campus. The role demands a strong grasp of environmental studies pedagogy and at least four years of classroom experience at the primary level. You will lead the Evs curriculum, mentor junior staff, and drive student performance in board-aligned assessments.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver engaging Evs lessons for Classes I to V, aligning daily activities with Narayana School Siliguri’s academic calendar. Lead curriculum development for environmental studies projects, integrating local Kurseong ecosystems into classroom discussions and field observations. Coach students for board exam readiness, conducting regular practice tests and doubt-clearing sessions to ensure consistent improvement in Evs scores.
Design and implement monthly Evs activity calendars that include eco-clubs, nature walks, and project presentations to foster hands-on learning. Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets, and audio-visual aids that cater to mixed-ability groups in the primary wing. Collaborate with the PRT team to standardize Evs assessment rubrics and share best practices across Darjeeling schools.
Conduct parent-teacher meetings focused on Evs learning outcomes and suggest home-based activities to reinforce classroom concepts. Organize inter-house Evs competitions and quiz events to build interest and teamwork among students from Kurseong and surrounding areas.
Who Can Apply
Graduates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed and a minimum of four years of teaching experience in primary Evs are eligible. Candidates with TET or CTET certification will be given preference during shortlisting. Fluency in English and Bengali is necessary to communicate effectively with students and parents in Kurseong.
