Role Summary
As a PRT Science General Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Science General to students in grades 6-8 at Narayana School Siliguri in Kurseong, Darjeeling. Your primary focus will be on delivering engaging and interactive Science General lessons that cater to different learning styles. You will also be involved in preparing and grading assignments, tracking student progress, and participating in parent-teacher conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Science General lessons to students in grades 6-8, aligned with the West Bengal state curriculum.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to track student progress and identify areas of improvement.
- Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, and tests to ensure students meet the desired learning outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Science General with other subjects and develop interdisciplinary approaches.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences to keep parents informed about student progress and performance.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Science General and integrate technology into teaching.
- Ensure that Science General laboratories and equipment are well-maintained and used effectively.
- Contribute to the development of Science General curriculum and assessments at Narayana School Siliguri.
Required Qualifications
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Science General from a recognized university in India.
- TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching Science General at a school in Darjeeling, West Bengal.
- Strong subject matter knowledge and teaching skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
