About This Role
Narayana School, Bally seeks a Music Teacher for leadership in cultural activities and student engagement through music. The role focuses on planning, organizing, and managing school music programs, including events, competitions, and community outreach. Ensuring high standards in music education and student participation is central to this position.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and oversee weekly music rehearsals for students across classes.
Organize inter-house and inter-school music competitions at Narayana School, Bally.
Coordinate with school administration to integrate music into annual functions.
Manage the school band, choir, and instrumental groups for performances.
Prepare budgets for music events and purchase necessary instruments and resources.
Document student progress in music and maintain performance records.
Collaborate with other departments to promote music across school activities.
Represent the school in local cultural programs and music festivals in Hooghly.
Required Qualifications
Must Have: Postgraduate degree in Music with minimum 5 years of experience in school music leadership.
Must Have: B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
Good to Have: Prior experience in managing music departments in reputed schools.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership in guiding music teams and student groups.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with parents and external agencies.
Organizational ability to manage multiple events and
Familiarity with local cultural events and music education trends in West Bengal.
Salary and Benefits
Rs.20,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
Provident Fund, health insurance, and festival bonuses as per school policy.
