About This Role (senior Bengali department role)

Day-to-Day Duties (curriculum ownership, mentoring junior staff, board results)
As a PGT Bengali Teacher at Narayana School, Bally, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing Bengali curriculum for various classes
- Conducting regular classes for students and providing individual attention as needed
- Mentoring junior staff members and assisting in their professional development
- Overseeing the preparation and administration of Bengali board exams
- Analyzing and improving student performance in Bengali
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Collaborating with other teachers to ensure a cohesive and integrated curriculum
- Participating in school events and activities related to Bengali literature and culture
Required Qualifications (B.Ed plus 5 years, NET or SET preferred)
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Master's degree in Bengali with a minimum of 55% marks
- A B.Ed. degree from a recognized university
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a reputable school
- NET or SET certification in Bengali is preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Bengali literature, history, and culture
