Role Summary

Teaching Approach
As a PGT Chemistry Teacher, you will be expected to employ practical methods, tools, and lab activities to engage students in Chemistry learning. You will conduct experiments, demonstrations, and discussions to make Chemistry a fascinating subject. Emphasis will be on developing problem-solving skills, scientific thinking, and analytical abilities in students.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials for Chemistry classes 9-12.
2. Conduct experiments, demonstrations, and discussions in the laboratory.
3. Assess student performance through regular tests, quizzes, and assignments.
4. Provide individual attention and guidance to students struggling with Chemistry concepts.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
6. Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
7. Participate in school events, workshops, and conferences related to Chemistry education.
8. Update and modify curriculum materials to reflect changing needs and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Chemistry (M.Sc or equivalent).
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree (essential for teaching positions).
- CTET or TET certification (desirable but not compulsory).
