Aditya Birla Vani Bharati is looking for a Post Graduate Trained (PGT) English Teacher to teach classes IX to XII in Serampur Uttarpara, Hooghly. What You Will Do
Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with CBSE syllabus for Grades IX–XII, including prose, poetry, grammar, and writing skills.
Design differentiated assignments and worksheets that cater to mixed learning levels within the same class.
Conduct regular formative assessments to monitor progress and provide timely feedback.
Organize remedial sessions for students who need extra support in English comprehension or expression.
Collaborate with the English department to create common assessment tools and moderation practices.
Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and assessment results as per school policy.
Participate in school events such as elocution, debate, and literary fests to enhance language exposure.
Communicate with parents through notes, meetings, and progress reports in English and Bengali as needed.
Eligibility Criteria
Post-graduate degree in English with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with English specialization.
Minimum 12 years of full-time English teaching experience in Grades IX–XII.
Preference for candidates with TET/CTET qualification though not mandatory.
Fluency in English and working knowledge of Bengali for classroom interaction.
