Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver History lessons to students from class VI to XII
- Prepare and administer assessments, including quizzes and examinations
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and extracurricular programs
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school development
- Provide support and guidance to students and colleagues as needed
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes
- Monitor and report on student attendance and performance
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a post-graduate degree in History or a related field. A degree in Education, such as B.Ed or D.El.Ed, is also required for teaching positions. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.

- A strong understanding of Indian History and its relevance to contemporary society
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative lesson plans
- Experience in teaching History to students from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with local historical sites and events in Hooghly, West Bengal
