Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and conduct morning drill sessions for 200+ students, ensuring inclusive warm-ups and cool-downs.
Organize weekly inter-house matches in football, volleyball, and kho-kho on the flood-lit courts.
Assess student fitness twice a year using the Harvard Step Test and share simple reports with class teachers.
Run after-school coaching for the school football team that competes in district tournaments.
Maintain equipment inventory and coordinate with the storekeeper for replacements.
Collaborate with the yoga teacher to embed breathing exercises in the weekly timetable.
Document attendance and performance in the school ERP for quick parent access.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to the annual sports calendar.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Science from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with Physical Education specialization.
Minimum five years of teaching Physical Education in a secondary school.
Preference for candidates familiar with Hooghly’s school sports scene.
Familiarity with TET/CTET is desirable but not mandatory.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly salary: Rs.25,000 – Rs.50,000 based on experience and qualifications.
