Daily Responsibilities
Prepare engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ understanding levels, ensuring clear explanations of theoretical and practical physics concepts. Conduct interactive classroom sessions, including demonstrations and group activities, to enhance learning through hands-on experience. Monitor student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback on assignments and exams. Maintain organized lab resources and assist students in conducting experiments safely and effectively.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and assess physics-based projects and assignments, ensuring alignment with school and board syllabi. Collaborate with the physics department to refine teaching methods and incorporate new educational technologies. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and student performance trends. Support school initiatives like science fairs and inter-house competitions by guiding students in physics-related events.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend teacher training workshops or professional development sessions focused on physics pedagogy and educational innovations. Review and update teaching materials, including textbooks, worksheets, and digital resources, to reflect current scientific advancements. Ensure compliance with school policies on safety protocols, particularly in lab environments, and document any incidents or concerns related to student safety.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Physics with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to qualify for this role. At least two years of teaching experience in physics at the secondary or senior secondary level is mandatory. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for nurturing scientific curiosity in students are essential.
