Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily English lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and creative writing. Engage students with interactive activities like group discussions, storytelling sessions, and language games to maintain high participation levels. Ensure classroom management remains orderly while adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning abilities. Prepare and distribute lesson plans, worksheets, and assignments in a structured manner.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Assess student progress through periodic tests, quizzes, and assignments to identify strengths and areas needing improvement. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate English lessons with other subjects, promoting cross-curricular learning. Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, such as poetry recitals, debates, or cultural fairs, to showcase English skills beyond the classroom. Maintain a well-organized classroom environment with necessary teaching aids and resources.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend term-end evaluations and prepare reports on student performance to inform further teaching strategies. Participate in faculty meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on best practices in English teaching. Ensure compliance with school policies and guidelines regarding curriculum adherence and student welfare.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines. Possess a Graduate degree in English or a related field. Experience in teaching English to students from Class I to Class V is preferred. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage. A clean criminal background check is mandatory for all applicants.
