Role Responsibilities

Organize school events such as tree-planting drives, cleanliness campaigns, and science fairs to foster community involvement in environmental awareness.
Teach basic environmental science concepts to students in grades 6 to 8, ensuring age-appropriate explanations. Collaborate with the science teacher to integrate Evs into existing curriculum while adapting lessons for diverse learning abilities. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in environmental activities.
Ensure compliance with school policies on safety during field trips and outdoor activities. Work closely with parents and local NGOs to promote environmental initiatives beyond the classroom. Act as a bridge between students and community organizations focused on sustainability projects.
Eligibility
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to qualify for the PRT position. Possess a graduate degree in any field with a strong interest in environmental studies. Two years of teaching experience in schools, preferably in subjects related to science or social studies, is essential.
Candidates with a TET/CTET certificate are preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrate practical experience in conducting hands-on science experiments or organizing environmental projects. Familiarity with local ecology and environmental policies in West Bengal will be an asset.
