Key Responsibilities
As a TGT Biology Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and delivering lessons to students of Classes 6-10, as per the curriculum and syllabus of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education
- Conducting regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress
- Providing individualized attention and support to students who require extra help
- Developing and implementing engaging and interactive teaching methods to promote student learning
- Collaborating with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum-aligned activities and projects
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Serving as a mentor and advisor to students, and providing guidance on academic and personal matters
- Assisting in the organization and management of school events and activities, as required
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (Biology or Science)
- A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, with a preference for those with TET or CTET certification
- Demonstrated expertise in the subject area, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and syllabus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
