Teach History across grades 6 to 8, designing lesson plans that blend theory with hands-on activities like document analysis, debates, and field trips to local heritage sites. Foster a classroom environment where students explore historical events through interactive discussions and multimedia presentations. Collaborate with the History department to align syllabi with state board guidelines and ensure comprehensive coverage of key periods like the Mauryan Empire, Mughal rule, and India’s freedom struggle.
Prepare and grade objective-type and descriptive exams, ensuring fair assessment while encouraging student participation. Organize cultural events, such as history-themed fairs or guest lectures by local historians, to make learning vibrant and relatable. Maintain detailed records of student progress and report to parents on academic and behavioral growth.
The ideal candidate holds a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in History or a related discipline. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in schools, would be highly beneficial. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is an added advantage. A passion for preserving and sharing India’s historical heritage, combined with strong communication skills, will be key to thriving in this role.
