Core Duties

Sports Coaching: Mentor students in team sports and individual disciplines, providing guidance on techniques, strategies, and competitive play. Organize and lead school sports events, including inter-house competitions and tournaments.
Curriculum Development: Assist in designing PE syllabi that balance physical fitness, sportsmanship, and academic relevance. Stay updated on new sports regulations and safety protocols to protect students during activities.
Facility Management: Maintain school sports equipment, arrange for regular maintenance, and coordinate with external vendors for necessary upgrades. Ensure all sports facilities meet safety and hygiene standards.
Student Engagement: Build positive relationships with students by encouraging participation in PE programs. Use motivational techniques to boost morale and attendance in sports activities.
Qualification and Experience
A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this role, with at least two years of teaching experience in Physical Education. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of West Bengal’s school curriculum and sports education standards will be advantageous.
