What You Will Do

Lead weekly department meetings to review student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
Monitor class-wise performance data and identify underperforming cohorts early to initiate targeted interventions. Conduct remedial sessions for students scoring below 40% in term exams and share concise progress reports with parents every fortnight. Organize inter-house physics quizzes and science exhibitions to cultivate interest in the subject beyond textbooks.
Set question papers for half-yearly and annual exams ensuring 30% weightage for practical components as mandated by CBSE norms. Mentor two newly joined TGT Physics Teachers, conduct demonstration lessons, and provide written feedback on their teaching methodology. Present a departmental academic improvement plan to the Principal each term for transparent review.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Physics with minimum 5 years of full-time teaching experience as TGT in CBSE schools. B.Ed is mandatory; D.El.Ed holders with relevant experience may also apply. TET/CTET qualified candidates will receive preference during shortlisting.
NET or SET qualified applicants with physics specialization are strongly encouraged to apply. Fluency in Bengali and English is necessary for seamless communication with Jalpaiguri parents and local authorities. Prior experience in coaching Olympiad teams or handling science fairs adds value.
