Role Summary
Narayana School Kalimpong invites applications for a full-time Guitarist to lead its music department and enrich student life through live performances. The Guitarist will curate weekly sessions, mentor students, and represent the school at inter-school events. This role blends artistic direction with school administration, ensuring music remains central to the school’s cultural calendar.
What You Will Do
Plan and conduct guitar ensemble rehearsals twice a week for Grades VI to XII.
Arrange annual school concert logistics, including stage setup, sound checks, and performer schedules.
Collaborate with the arts coordinator to integrate guitar pieces into school assemblies and festivals.
Prepare students for inter-school music competitions under the guidance of the school leadership.
Maintain inventory of guitars, amplifiers, and accessories in the music room.
Document student progress and submit monthly reports to the principal.
Coordinate with external musicians for workshops during cultural weeks.
Organise parent music nights to showcase student talent and school achievements.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Music or related field from a recognised university.
Minimum 3 years of professional guitar performance experience in live settings.
Proficiency in acoustic, electric, and bass guitar with strong stage presence.
Familiarity with Indian and Western music genres preferred.
Prior experience in school or institutional music programs is an advantage.
