Classroom Profile
As a PGT Bengali Teacher at Narayana School Kalimpong, you will be working with students in Classes XI and XII. You will be responsible for teaching Bengali Language and Literature, and will also be involved in preparing students for the board exams. Our school follows a structured curriculum, and you will be expected to teach and assess students according to the Board's guidelines.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Bengali Language and Literature to students in Classes XI and XII
- Prepare and deliver lessons on Bengali literature, language, and grammar
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress
- Encourage students to participate in debates, quizzes, and other co-curricular activities
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to engage students
- Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school policies
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school decision-making
- Develop and implement projects to promote Bengali language and culture
Eligibility Criteria
- Post-graduate degree in Bengali or a related subject from a recognized university
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- TET/CTET certification is not mandatory but preferred
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a government or recognized school
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to school decision-making
