Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, incorporating modern teaching methods and student-centered approaches. Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate English skills across different academic activities. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies, student performance trends, and curriculum enhancements. Assist in organizing school events, literary fests, or competitions related to English, such as poetry readings or debate teams.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct periodic assessments and evaluations to gauge students’ understanding of English concepts. Provide detailed progress reports and recommendations to parents, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. Participate in school-wide professional development workshops to refine teaching techniques and stay updated on educational trends in English pedagogy.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in English or a related field is essential. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for teaching at this level. At least four years of teaching experience, preferably in English or related subjects, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly valued for career advancement.
