PRT English Teacher Position at Mount Zion School, Kalimpong

Collaborate with other teachers to create interdisciplinary projects that strengthen English skills through real-world applications.
Assist in organizing school events, such as poetry recitals, debates, and literary festivals, to boost students’ confidence in public speaking.
Participate in weekly staff meetings to share teaching strategies, share best practices, and discuss student performance trends.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend termly parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress, set learning goals, and address any concerns.
Participate in school-wide assessments and evaluations to ensure alignment with the curriculum and continuous improvement.
Contribute to the school’s annual report by documenting teaching methodologies, student achievements, and areas for growth.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field as the minimum qualification.
Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to qualify for the PRT role.
Four years of teaching experience, preferably in English at the primary level, is essential.
Prefer candidates with a Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certification, though not mandatory for this position.
Salary and Location
