Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled TGT Biology Teacher to join our team at Narayana School Kalimpong. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology to students in grades 9-12. The TGT Biology Teacher will also be required to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Biology lessons to students in grades 9-12
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated on Biology curriculum and teaching methods
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Provide support to students outside of class hours as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
- Contribute to the development of school policies and programs related to Biology education
- Participate in school events and activities that promote Biology awareness and appreciation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree or equivalent
- Teaching experience of at least 4 years
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
