Iem Public School | North Kolkata is hiring a full‑time PGT Accountancy Teacher for its Kankurgachi campus in Kolkata, West Bengal. The role involves delivering the Accountancy curriculum to senior secondary students, preparing them for board examinations and fostering analytical skills. Candidates will be expected to design lesson plans, conduct practical sessions and assess student performance in line with the school’s academic standards. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver comprehensive Accountancy lessons for classes XI and XII, aligning with the state board syllabus.
Develop and evaluate assignments, projects and mock tests to monitor student progress.
Utilize ICT tools and classroom resources to make complex concepts accessible.
Provide mentorship and academic counseling to students, helping them choose career pathways in commerce and finance.
Participate in faculty meetings, parent‑teacher interactions and school events as required.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in Commerce or related field (M.Com, MBA, etc.).
B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory.
TET/CTET qualification is preferred.
Experience
Minimum three years of teaching experience in Accountancy at the senior secondary level.
Prior experience in a school setting with a track record of improving student results is desirable.
Salary
Rs.38,000 - Rs.65,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
