PGT Computer Science Teacher Job in IEM Public School, Kankurgachi, Kolkata
This role is for a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) to lead Computer Science education at IEM Public School, one of North Kolkata’s premier institutions. You’ll join a team dedicated to fostering technical skills and digital literacy among students, shaping their future in a rapidly evolving field.
In this position, you’ll design and deliver advanced Computer Science lessons, covering programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and emerging technologies. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging classroom activities, assessing student progress, and mentoring them through hands-on projects. You’ll also collaborate with other teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum, ensuring students gain practical experience in coding, software development, and IT applications.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, having these certifications will strengthen your application. A strong academic background in Computer Science, along with teaching experience, will be highly valued.
For this role, at least three years of teaching experience in Computer Science—preferably at the senior secondary level—is required. Experience in shaping curriculum, using modern teaching tools, and working with diverse student groups will be beneficial. Your ability to explain complex concepts clearly and inspire students will be crucial.
