Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. A minimum of five years of teaching experience at the PGT level in schools is required. Holding a valid TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Role Overview
With the stated qualifications, the teacher will design and deliver the Computer Science curriculum for classes XI and XII, ensuring concepts are taught with clarity and relevance. The ability to integrate practical lab sessions, project work and contemporary industry tools will enable students to develop strong analytical and programming skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct theory and lab classes as per the board syllabus, incorporating interactive teaching methods.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Guide students in project work, coding competitions and extracurricular tech activities, fostering a culture of innovation.
- Maintain classroom discipline, monitor attendance and keep accurate records of student progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events and professional development programs to stay updated with educational best practices.
- Coordinate with senior management for curriculum updates and contribute to school‑wide academic initiatives.
Salary and Location
The position offers a monthly remuneration of Rs.42,000 – Rs.75,000 and is based at Iem Public School | Saltlake, Kankurgachi, Kolkata, West Bengal.
