About This Role
The Bss School in Kankurgachi, Kolkata is looking for a dynamic and experienced PGT Economics Teacher who can make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. As a teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Your Students
You will be teaching Economics to students from Classes 11 and 12, helping them develop a strong foundation in the subject and preparing them for competitive exams. Our students are bright, curious, and eager to learn, and we are confident that you will inspire and motivate them to achieve their full potential.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons to students from Classes 11 and 12
- Prepare and administer assignments, quizzes, and exams to assess student progress
- Conduct regular progress meetings with students to monitor their understanding and address any concerns
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results
- Participate in school events and activities to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the curriculum and assessment requirements
- Contribute to the development of Economics resources and materials for the school
Who Can Apply
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Economics teacher who has a passion for teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field, with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience of teaching Economics to Classes 11 and 12.
