PGT English Teacher Job in Kolkata, West Bengal | School Recruitment
Role
The Eagle Foundation Academy invites applications for a PGT English Teacher in Kolkata, West Bengal. This full‑time position is based in Kankurgachi, Kolkata and focuses on delivering the senior secondary English curriculum to classes IX‑XII.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that align with the state board and NCERT guidelines. Conduct periodic assessments, provide constructive feedback and maintain records of student progress. Organise co‑curricular activities such as debates, dramatics and reading clubs to enhance language skills. Participate in department meetings, school events and parent‑teacher interactions as required. Ensure classroom discipline and foster a supportive learning environment.
Requirements
Post‑graduate degree in English along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the PGT level. TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong command over spoken and written English, proficiency with digital teaching tools and ability to motivate adolescents. Candidates should be comfortable working in a school setting in Kolkata and possess good interpersonal skills.
Compensation
Salary range is Rs.28,000 - Rs.60,000 per month, payable as per the academy’s standard payroll policy. The Eagle Foundation Academy offers professional development opportunities and a collaborative faculty environment.
