PGT Geography Teacher Responsibilities at IEM Public School, Kankurgachi
Teach Geography at the senior secondary level, covering syllabus topics like physical geography, economic geography, and environmental studies. Develop and deliver engaging classroom lessons aligned with the West Bengal Board curriculum.
Prepare and grade assignments, projects, and exams to assess students’ understanding of geographical concepts and their application in real-world scenarios. Collaborate with the Geography department to refine teaching methods and share best practices for effective geography instruction.
Plan and conduct field trips, workshops, or outdoor activities to enhance students’ hands-on learning experiences in geography, such as mapping exercises or environmental studies projects.
Review and update teaching resources, including textbooks, worksheets, and multimedia presentations, to ensure they meet modern educational standards and student engagement levels.
Eligibility for the PGT Geography Teacher Position
Hold a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field with at least three years of relevant teaching experience. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this role.
