Role Summary
Narayana School Barasat is seeking a qualified and experienced PGT History Teacher to join our History Department in Beleghata, Kolkata, West Bengal. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History to students from various backgrounds and helping them develop a deep understanding of the subject.
What You Will Do
- Teach History to students at the post-secondary level using a variety of teaching methods and materials.
- Prepare and deliver lessons, assessments, and evaluations that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills.
- Evaluate student progress, identify areas of improvement, and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental curriculum and assessments.
- Stay up-to-date with recent developments in History and integrate relevant content into the curriculum.
- Participate in school events, activities, and meetings that promote the History Department and the school.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results.
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, you must have a postgraduate degree in History or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Preference will be given to candidates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree and experience in teaching History in a Kolkata school.
Salary and Benefits
