PRT Art And Craft Teacher Job in Kolkata, West Bengal | School Recruitment
Responsibilities
The selected PRT Art And Craft Teacher in Kolkata, West Bengal will plan and deliver daily art and craft lessons for primary sections, using locally sourced materials and traditional Indian art forms. Classes will be conducted in Kankurgachi, Kolkata, with a focus on developing creativity, fine motor skills and cultural awareness among students. The teacher will maintain a tidy studio, prepare resource kits, and collaborate with senior staff to integrate art projects with the school’s thematic calendar.
Key duties include designing age‑appropriate projects, assessing student work through portfolios, organizing exhibitions for parents, and mentoring students for inter‑school art competitions. The role also involves maintaining attendance records, participating in staff meetings, and contributing ideas for school festivals celebrated in West Bengal.
Requirements
Candidate must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least 2 years of teaching experience in art and craft at the primary level. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. A graduate qualification in any discipline is acceptable provided the candidate has demonstrated competence in handling art materials and classroom management.
