PRT Dance Teacher Job in Kolkata, West Bengal | School Recruitment
Purwanchal Vidyamandir | Kankurgachi invites a dedicated PRT Dance Teacher to join their vibrant school community in Kankurgachi, Kolkata. This role focuses on nurturing students’ artistic and cultural growth through structured dance programs, blending creativity with discipline.
Responsibilities
Teach foundational and advanced dance techniques across various styles, ensuring age-appropriate learning for students from grades 1 to 12. Develop and implement weekly dance curricula aligned with school syllabi, incorporating elements of classical, folk, and contemporary dance. Organize and conduct weekly practice sessions, including group and individual coaching, while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with the dance faculty to maintain high standards of performance and student progress. Attend school meetings and workshops to stay updated on teaching methodologies and student needs. Participate in school events, including cultural fests, competitions, and performances, to showcase student talent and promote dance as an integral part of education.
Qualifications
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree as mandatory for teaching positions at Purwanchal Vidyamandir | Kankurgachi. Possess a graduate degree in dance or a related field to teach effectively. Have expertise in teaching dance to children, ensuring age-appropriate instruction and engagement. Familiarity with local dance traditions and cultural practices will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum three years of teaching experience in dance, preferably at a school level. Experience in designing and delivering engaging dance lessons for students of varying skill levels. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles. Knowledge of assessment techniques to evaluate student performance and progress in dance.
Salary and Employment
The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.18,000 - Rs.30,000 per month, along with full-time employment at Purwanchal Vidyamandir | Kankurgachi. This role is part of the school’s dedicated PRT (Practical Teacher) team, supporting holistic student development.
