Job Description
PRT English Teacher Position at Iem Public School, Kolkata
We seek an experienced English teacher to join Iem Public School in Kankurgachi, Kolkata, as a Primary Teacher (PRT) for English. This role involves shaping young minds with a focus on language development, grammar, and creative expression. The teacher will engage students in engaging lessons while ensuring alignment with the school’s educational goals.
Lesson planning is a core responsibility, requiring structured activities that cater to diverse learning levels. You will design engaging lessons that blend theory with practical exercises, ensuring students grasp vocabulary, syntax, and communication skills effectively. Curriculum alignment will be key—your plans must reflect the school’s broader objectives while keeping lessons dynamic and relevant.
Assessment design is another vital part of the job. You will create fair and meaningful evaluations, including oral assessments, written tests, and project-based tasks. These assessments will help track student progress, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback. Your evaluations should be student-centered, encouraging growth rather than just measuring performance.
Tracking student progress is essential for personalized learning. Regular feedback sessions and observation notes will help adjust teaching methods to meet individual needs. By maintaining detailed records, you can ensure every student receives the support they need to excel in English. This role demands both creativity and analytical skills to keep lessons fresh while maintaining academic rigor.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for English and a knack for making learning enjoyable. With a salary of Rs.18,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a nurturing educational environment in Kolkata.
