Responsibilities
Teach Environmental Studies (Evs) as per the West Bengal curriculum, ensuring age-appropriate and interactive lesson plans. Develop and implement projects, experiments, and field trips to foster hands-on learning about ecology, sustainability, and conservation. Collaborate with the science and social science faculty to integrate Evs concepts across subjects where relevant. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them grasp key environmental concepts effectively. Participate in school events and extracurricular activities that promote environmental awareness, such as tree-planting drives or waste management workshops.
Qualification
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as mandatory qualifications for this position. Possession of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is highly preferred but not mandatory. A graduate degree in any discipline is essential to meet the basic eligibility criteria for teaching roles in Lakshmipat Singhania Academy.
Experience
Proven experience of at least two years in teaching Environmental Studies or related subjects to students in the age group of 11 to 16 years. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and the ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learning needs is crucial. Experience in designing and conducting interactive classroom activities, especially those centered around environmental themes, will be an asset.
Salary and Employment Type
