PRT Music Teacher Job in Kolkata, West Bengal | School Recruitment

3. Collaborating with the music coordinator to integrate music activities into broader school programs and festivals.
4. Maintaining a well-stocked music room with instruments and teaching aids for classroom use.
5. Preparing lesson plans that incorporate local Kolkata traditions and cultural influences in music education.
6. Attending parent-teacher meetings to discuss students’ musical development and progress.
7. Ensuring all teaching materials and resources meet the school’s academic standards and guidelines.
8. Participating in school-wide music competitions and extracurricular activities to promote student engagement.
9. Adhering to St Johns High School’s policies on student discipline and classroom management.
10. Conducting extra-curricular music workshops or camps to extend learning opportunities beyond regular classes.
Qualifications for the PRT Music Teacher position include a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized Indian university. A graduate degree in music or a related field is preferred. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage. Experience in teaching music to school-age students and familiarity with West Bengal’s education standards will be beneficial.
