Convent Of Our Lady Of Providence Girls High School in Kankurgachi, Kolkata, seeks a dynamic sports professional to manage and develop the school’s athletic program. The role involves overseeing facilities, coordinating events, and fostering a culture of physical fitness among students.
1. Plan, organize and supervise daily sports activities, ensuring safety and inclusivity.
2. Manage the sports inventory, equipment maintenance and budgeting for the department.
3. Conduct regular assessments of student participation and performance, reporting to senior administration.
4. Liaise with external coaches, clubs and sports bodies to arrange workshops, tournaments and exchange programs.
5. Develop and implement a comprehensive sports calendar aligned with academic schedules and examinations.
6. Train and mentor junior staff, promoting best practices in coaching and injury prevention.
7. Ensure compliance with state sports regulations and school policies, maintaining accurate records.
8. Participate in school leadership meetings, contributing insights on student wellness and extracurricular planning.
The candidate should hold a graduate degree, possess at least two years of experience in school sports administration, and have a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification with TET/CTET preferred. Strong communication skills, a passion for student development and the ability to lead a team are essential.
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.35,000.
