Role Summary
Narayana School Park Circus invites applications for the position of TGT Biology Teacher in Kolkata, West Bengal. This is a full-time opportunity for experienced educators who can lead Biology curriculum delivery for Classes 9 and 10. The role demands strong subject expertise, board exam coaching skills, and a commitment to student performance in West Bengal board examinations.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver Biology lessons aligned with the West Bengal Board syllabus for Classes 9 and 10. Design engaging practical sessions, lab demonstrations, and real-life applications of biological concepts. Lead curriculum development and ensure alignment with board exam patterns.
Prepare students for ICSE/ISC or state board examinations with focused revision schedules, sample papers, and mock tests. Monitor progress through regular assessments and provide remedial support where needed. Conduct parent-teacher meetings to share student performance updates and academic goals.
Organize inter-house competitions, science exhibitions, and field trips to reinforce Biology learning beyond classrooms. Collaborate with the Science HOD to maintain high academic standards across Biology sections. Integrate digital tools and interactive content to enhance classroom engagement.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Zoology, Botany, or Life Sciences with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a NCTE-approved institution is mandatory. Minimum 3 years of Biology teaching experience in a secondary school environment.
TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Fluency in English and Bengali is essential for effective communication with students and parents. Experience with CBSE, ICSE, or West Bengal Board curriculum is desirable.
