About This Role
Narayana School Barasat invites experienced TGT Computer Science Teachers to shape young minds in Beleghata, Kolkata. The role demands a seasoned educator with strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical computing education. You will prepare students for ICSE and ISC board exams while fostering problem-solving skills.
What You Will Do
Teach Computer Science to Grades 9 and 10 with focus on algorithms, programming, and database concepts. Design lab sessions using Python and C++ for hands-on learning. Guide students for board exam projects and viva voce with structured rubrics.
Plan weekly assessments aligned to board patterns and analyze student performance trends. Mentor students for inter-school coding competitions and Olympiads in West Bengal. Collaborate with the science department to integrate computational thinking across subjects.
Organize parent-teacher meets to discuss progress in Computer Science projects. Contribute to curriculum updates based on NCF 2023 recommendations. Lead the Computer Science club with workshops on ethical hacking basics and web development.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or MCA required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory for TGT designation. Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Computer Science at secondary level.
TET or CTET preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in Python, C++, and SQL is essential. Familiarity with ICSE/ISC syllabus and exam patterns necessary.
