About This Role
Narayana School Barasat invites applications for the post of TGT Political Science Teacher in its Beleghata, Kolkata branch. As a TGT Political Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Political Science to students in classes VI to X.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans for Political Science
- Prepare and administer quizzes, tests, and exams to assess student progress
- Develop and implement classroom activities that promote critical thinking and creativity
- Use technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress
- Participate in school events and activities to promote a positive school culture
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Required Qualifications
Must Have
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution
- Post-graduate degree in Political Science or relevant discipline
- TET/CTET certification preferred but not mandatory
Good to Have
- Experience in teaching Political Science to students in classes VI to X
- Familiarity with curriculum and assessment frameworks in West Bengal
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative lesson plans
- Experience with technology integration in teaching and learning
- Strong organizational and time management skills
