Professional Expectations
The TGT Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons for Classes VI to X, fostering inquiry‑based learning and scientific temper among students. Responsibilities include maintaining classroom discipline, collaborating with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects, and participating in staff meetings and professional development activities at Convent Of Our Lady Of Providence Girls High School.
Subject‑Specific Responsibilities
Plan and execute curriculum‑aligned Science units covering Physics, Chemistry and Biology, integrating experiments, demonstrations and digital resources. Prepare and update teaching aids, laboratory manuals and resource banks to support hands‑on learning. Guide students in project work, science fairs and Olympiad preparation, encouraging critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Assessment and Practical Work
Design formative and summative assessments that reflect syllabus objectives, including written tests, quizzes, lab reports and practical examinations. Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of grades and lab safety compliance. Coordinate with the lab coordinator to ensure equipment is functional and safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
Required: B.Ed or D.El.Ed with a postgraduate degree in Science. Candidates should possess a valid TET/CTET certification, though it is not mandatory for this posting. Preference will be given to those with additional certifications in science pedagogy or laboratory safety.
Experience
Minimum of two years of full‑time teaching experience in a recognized school, handling Science classes at the secondary level. Experience in managing school laboratories and conducting practical sessions is essential.
Salary and Location
