Role introduction
Gayeshbari Bright Institute, a reputable school in Malda, Maldah, West Bengal, is looking for a full‑time Receptionist. The candidate will be the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors, ensuring a warm and efficient front‑office operation.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, parents and students with a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Manage incoming calls, route them to appropriate staff and maintain accurate call logs.
- Handle school correspondence, mail and parcels, ensuring timely distribution.
- Maintain the reception area, keeping it tidy and presentable at all times.
- Update and manage student and staff records in the school database.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and assist in scheduling appointments for senior management.
- Process fee receipts, issue receipts and maintain daily cash flow records.
- Support administrative tasks such as preparing reports, filing documents and assisting in event organization.
Qualification
Must Have
- Post‑graduate degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a receptionist or similar front‑office role, preferably in an educational setting.
Good to Have
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, internet browsing).
- Familiarity with school management software.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Bengali.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle queries calmly.
- Good organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Basic numeracy for handling cash and preparing simple reports.
Salary and location
The position offers a salary of Rs.18,000 – Rs.30,000 per month. The role is based at Gayeshbari Bright Institute, Malda, Maldah, West Bengal, with a full‑time employment contract.
