Subject‑Specific Responsibilities
Design and deliver the West Bengal Board Geography syllabus for classes VI to X, integrating map work, GIS basics, and regional case studies. Organise quarterly field trips to nearby rivers, agricultural zones and heritage sites to reinforce practical understanding. Prepare laboratory sessions for soil, water and climate experiments, and maintain an up‑to‑date resource bank of atlases, charts and digital tools.
Assessment and Practical Work
Develop formative and summative assessments aligned with board guidelines, including map‑drawing tests, project reports and oral presentations. Supervise practical work such as terrain modelling, climate data analysis and community surveys, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and timely feedback.
Qualifications
Post‑graduation in Geography with B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. TET/CTET qualification is preferred.
Experience
