Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for classes IX to XII, aligning with the West Bengal Board syllabus and school standards. Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback to support learning progress. Design remedial programs for students who need additional help and organize enrichment activities such as maths clubs, competitions and projects. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans in the school’s management system. Collaborate with fellow teachers and senior staff to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and contribute to curriculum development. Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, addressing concerns and discussing student growth. Ensure classroom discipline, safety and a positive learning atmosphere at all times. Stay updated with latest pedagogical methods and incorporate technology, such as digital tools and online resources, to enhance instruction. Assist in organizing school events, exhibitions and inter‑school math contests. Undertake any additional duties assigned by the principal to support the overall functioning of the institute.
Qualification and experience
A post‑graduate degree in Mathematics or a related discipline is required, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the secondary level is essential. Candidates should have cleared TET/CTET examinations, which will be considered a plus. Strong subject knowledge, effective communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom are expected.
Salary and location
