Role Summary
The Narayana School Berhampore invites applications for a full-time PGT English Teacher post in Behrampore, Murshidabad, West Bengal. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join our faculty and contribute to the academic growth of our students.
What You Will Do
1. Plan and deliver lessons to students in English, ensuring that the curriculum is covered and students are adequately prepared for assessments.
2. Assess and provide feedback on student work, using a range of methods to evaluate their progress and understanding.
3. Develop and implement innovative teaching methods, taking into account the needs and abilities of students.
4. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
5. Work collaboratively with other teachers to develop and implement the school's curriculum and policies.
6. Conduct parental meetings and communicate with parents regarding student progress.
7. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's English department.
8. Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning.
9. Stay updated with curriculum developments and best practices in English teaching.
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- Post Graduate degree in English (MA/MSc)
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed or equivalent degree
- CTET/TET certification (not mandatory)
Good to Have:
- NET/SLET/SET certification in English
- Experience of teaching English in a school setting
- Knowledge of curriculum developments and best practices in English teaching
