Job Description
PGT Geography Teacher Position at Netaji Subhash Public School, Murshidabad
Teaching Geography at Netaji Subhash Public School means shaping young minds with a deep understanding of the world around them. You’ll plan engaging lessons that blend theory with real-world applications, ensuring students grasp concepts like physical geography, human-environment interactions, and regional studies. Your role will involve designing syllabus-aligned activities, from field trips to classroom discussions, to make geography both relevant and exciting.
Daily responsibilities include delivering lectures, guiding students through maps, charts, and data analysis, and fostering critical thinking through group projects. You’ll assess students’ progress through written exams, projects, and continuous evaluation, ensuring they meet academic standards while staying curious about the world. Classroom management will require patience and adaptability, especially as you cater to diverse learning needs.
Collaboration with colleagues and parents is key—you’ll share insights on student performance, suggest improvements in teaching methods, and work with the school’s curriculum team to refine geography programs. Your expertise will help students connect geography to their daily lives, from understanding climate change to exploring local geography. The school values innovative teaching, so you’ll be encouraged to experiment with new approaches while staying true to the subject’s core principles.
This position offers a chance to inspire the next generation of explorers and thinkers. With a monthly salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 55,000, you’ll also enjoy a supportive work environment where your passion for geography can grow alongside your students. Your qualifications—postgraduate in Geography and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree—will be essential, though prior teaching experience will be highly valued.
