About This Role
What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons to students from class 6 to 12
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their understanding of historical concepts
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement school-wide History projects
- Conduct field trips to historical sites in Murshidabad and West Bengal
- Provide guidance and support to students in preparing for History Olympiads and other extracurricular activities
- Stay updated with the latest developments in History education and incorporate them into your teaching practice
- Contribute to the development of the school's History curriculum and resources
- Engage with parents and students to ensure a smooth and effective communication channel
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the school's decision-making process
Who Can Apply
- Postgraduate degree in History or a related subject
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree; TET or CTET certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching History in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of History curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
