PRT Science Teacher Job in Murshidabad, West Bengal | School Recruitment
About This Role
This is a senior-level position within the Science department at Aurangabad Public School. The role carries department ownership responsibilities and mentoring duties for junior staff. Candidates will guide students from Classes 1 to 5 in foundational Science concepts aligned with board standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for primary students using activity-based learning methods. Prepare monthly unit plans, worksheets, and practical experiments suitable for young learners. Ensure all lesson plans meet the standards set by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
Monitor student progress through regular assessments and maintain detailed progress reports. Organize Science fairs and exhibitions to encourage curiosity and hands-on learning among primary students. Provide remedial support to students facing difficulties in understanding basic Science concepts.
Mentor newly joined Science teachers and share best practices for classroom management. Collaborate with the academic coordinator to align Science curriculum with board expectations. Track board exam trends and adjust teaching strategies to improve student outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in Science or related discipline from a recognized university is mandatory. B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is required for this primary teaching role. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory for this position.
Minimum one year of teaching experience in primary Science is necessary. Experience in curriculum planning and student assessment is desirable. Familiarity with West Bengal Board primary Science syllabus is an added advantage.
