Daily Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging history lessons tailored to students’ understanding levels. Use visual aids, discussions, and real-world examples to make history relatable and exciting. Monitor student progress daily to ensure active participation and address learning gaps promptly. Prepare and maintain organized lesson plans, notes, and student records for easy reference.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Collaborate with the history department to integrate themes from textbooks with local historical contexts, especially those relevant to West Bengal and Murshidabad. Participate in school events like history fairs, debates, and cultural programs to promote interest in the subject. Assess student performance through regular tests, projects, and assignments while providing constructive feedback. Ensure compliance with school policies on attendance, discipline, and curriculum implementation.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend departmental meetings to discuss curriculum updates, teaching strategies, and student performance trends. Conduct parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress and areas needing improvement. Organize guest lectures or workshops with local historians or scholars to enrich classroom learning.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in History or a related subject. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the secondary level is mandatory. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, adaptability to diverse student backgrounds, and a deep understanding of Indian history and culture are essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.45,000.
