Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to help learners improve. Organize laboratory sessions, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain equipment and inventory. Mentor students for science fairs, Olympiads and inter‑school competitions, guiding project work and encouraging inquiry‑based learning. Coordinate with senior faculty to integrate interdisciplinary projects and support school events. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and student progress reports. Participate in parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student achievements and areas for improvement. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum by suggesting updates and new teaching resources. Uphold school policies, disciplinary standards and promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Qualification and experience
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Physics or a related science discipline. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential, and a minimum of two years of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level is required. Preference will be given to those who have cleared TET or CTET, though it is not mandatory. Strong communication skills in English and Bengali are desirable, along with a genuine passion for teaching physics.
